ABOUT US
SCAWIN- Society for Children and Women in need is a charitable and nonprofit society, carrying out its development activities since 2007 in the field of Health and Education. SCAWIN is committed towards overall development of Women and Children who are in need.

SCAWIN was founded by a group of graduates from an orphanage and their parents belonging to leprosy affected communities. They all have experienced the stigma and struggle surviving because of such family conditions. They were raised by generous donors. Through their support and contribution they all achieved skills/training in order to survive in the modern world. They are now settled in their respective jobs, families and societies and are ready to support others who are in need of care and attention from leprosy affected communities and others.

ACTIVITIES
Our activities includes like organizing eye camps and provide cataract operations free of cost for senior citizens, organize street plays to provide awareness to community people on girl child education, Drug abuse, safety during Covid, domestic violence etc.

SCAWIN provides higher education support to the girls from economically weaker families, provide opportunity for new start ups, and provide assistance for vocational training fees and dry ration and medicine support to the leprosy affected families.

SCAWIN is also eligible to run short term and long term projects.

LEGAL STATUS
SCAWIN has all the necessary documents required for an Ngo/Society and to raise funds for the society. It has a valid Registration certificate, 12A income tax certificate, 80g Tax exemption certificate for donors and MCA certificate to raise funds for short and long term projects.
